Do it yourself carpet cleaning

Using the soap; there is a (trick) to using the soap. Do not over soap the area and make sure to rinse very well using the hottest water that you have access to. Soap residue left in the carpet will become sticky and collect more soil. Instead of adding more soap than the directions tell you to, go over the area after you have rinsed from the first attempt to clean again if needed with the soap solution. Some may think that soil is just a round foreign matter in the carpet and will pose no real harm to the carpet fibers. Most people think soil has been defined as just a nasty, smelly matter. Here’s the thing under a microscope you will see that soil has points like a knife and the soil will cut into the carpet fibers like a knife. So vacuum very slowly over the area that you want to clean first before you began the water cleaning this removes the insoluble soils that will damage the fibers over time how long the damage will take depends on the type of traffic, type of carpet, quality of the carpet and the volume of traffic.
